The Illinois Advantage
Illinois is the best state for your gestational surrogacy journey and here is why!
Illinois passed the Illinois Gestational Surrogacy Act on January 1, 2005 (“The Act”). The Act allows for both parents regardless of marital status or state or country of residence to be named on the birth certificate by means of an administrative process not requiring any court filings, appearances or hearings.
This process is done prior to the birth of your child so that you can have the peace of mind and assurance that your parental rights are fully secured and protected. Both Intended Parents are named on the birth certificate alleviating the need for costly, time consuming and sometimes very difficult second parent and step parent adoption procedures.
The process requires that Intended Parents and Surrogate have legal representation by an Illinois licensed attorney and our President is a licensed attorney in the State of Illinois so she can represent you for this process.
Not only will you have peace of mind that your parental rights are secured prior to birth but you will also save thousands of dollars in legal fees.
